About

The National Open Journal of Medicine (NOJM) is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that publishes original research articles, reviews and mini-reviews, letters, and guest-edited thematic issues across all areas of medicine. The journal evaluates submissions on the basis of scientific validity, methodological rigor, and adherence to high ethical standards rather than perceived novelty or impact. NOJM welcomes multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research, replication studies, and studies reporting negative or null findings. The journal also publishes Registered Reports and study Protocols.

Aim & Scope

NOJM aims to advance the dissemination of high-quality, transparent, and reproducible medical research across the full spectrum of basic, translational, clinical, public health, and healthcare-related disciplines. The journal seeks to provide an inclusive platform for scientifically sound research that contributes meaningfully to medical knowledge and practice.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Basic and translational medical research
  • Clinical and biomedical sciences
  • Public health and epidemiology
  • Healthcare systems and health policy
  • Medical technologies and innovations
  • Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary studies
  • Replication studies
  • Negative and null results
  • Registered Reports and study Protocols
  • Reviews, mini-reviews, letters, and thematic issues

Submissions are assessed primarily on scientific rigor, methodological quality, transparency, and ethical conduct.
